# Resolving ENOSPC no space left on device errors

> Resolve ENOSPC storage errors in Blaxel sandboxes by increasing memory allocation or attaching a volume for larger persistent storage.

An `ENOSPC: no space left on device` error means that your sandbox has exhausted its available storage. Sandbox filesystem storage is in memory by default for optimal speed, so storage needs count against the memory allocation.

## Increase memory allocation

A sandbox's memory allocation covers both runtime memory and filesystem storage. Increase the allocation to provide more storage space. This is the recommended short-term solution.

<Tip>
  If the sandbox logs contain `Out of memory: Killed process`, the sandbox exceeded its memory allocation and needs more memory.
</Tip>

Increasing memory also increases CPU allocation:

* 8 GB of memory provides 4 CPU cores
* 16 GB of memory provides 8 CPU cores

## Use a volume

If files alone require more than 4 GB, use a volume for larger, persistent storage. A volume may provide slower filesystem performance than the default in-memory storage.
